RUPAUL’S DRAGCON: Shantay you stay

Every year the convention center in LA (and for the last 3 yrs. in NYC) transforms itself into…. GLAMOR, full of glitter, feathers, and wigs. Dragcon is an annual expo of drag culture that has become one of the biggest events for the LGBTQ+ community where everyone is welcome for a weekend of joy. Here, fans of pop culture and Drag Race can meet their favorite queens and celebrities (you may even get a pic with RuPaul, if you are lucky). You’ll see insightful discussion panels, watch epic performances and most important (of course), shop and support all the fabulous vendors!

We started our first Rupaul’s Dragcon back in 2017 at their first NYC convention. It was an incredibly special event for us being that it was our first convention (a Dragcon convention no less!) back then when we were A&V art. What a blast we had!

The years following, we joined the Drag Race family in both LA and NYC. We’ve gotten so much inspiration from these events that we branded our company as The Werkroom, where we werk to create merchandise filled with humor, blended with a touch of eroticism. We like to think we bring your favorite cartoon characters to real life… with a sprinkle of queerness. 

For the last few years, we’ve had the amazing opportunity to dance, laugh and sashay together in The Werkroom booth, and we are looking very forward to rolling out our pink carpet again soon.
